Karnak is the debut record from San Francisco, California-based duo Tuned To A Dead Channel. ‘Tuned is a collaboration between Thorsten Sideboard (co-founder of the Highpoint Lowlife netlabel) and Eric Pietras, recorded improvisationally with a minimal setup of two laptops, a small synthesizer and an analog delay, over a series of Friday nights.

Consisting of five tracks, Karnak showcases the merging of Sideboard and Pietras’ distinct backgrounds in the noise and ambient worlds, featuring field recordings, slowly evolving drones and microsample-based leftfield elements that create an idiosyncratic yet compellingly meditative sonic microcosm.

Released on Petroglyph records as Petroglyph 427, on February 14 2016.
